La “pipa” es un instrumento musical tradicional chino que se asemeja al laúd occidental. Este instrumento cuenta con cuatro cuerdas y una caja de resonancia en forma de pera. Su mástil es corto y curvado, con treinta trastes que se extienden sobre parte de la tapa armónica, lo que le otorga un amplio rango musical.
El instrumento también presenta cajas de articulación, que se encuentran justo debajo del encabezado del instrumento en tres cuadros centrales. En cada caja, puedes seleccionar y cargar una articulación musical. Dado que hay tres cajas disponibles, puedes cargar hasta tres articulaciones diferentes en una “ranura” preestablecida. Además, hay un umbral de sensibilidad entre las tres cajas de articulación. The “pipa” is a traditional Chinese musical instrument that resembles the Western lute. This instrument has four strings and a pear-shaped soundboard. Its neck is short and curved, with thirty frets that extend over part of the soundboard, giving it a wide musical range.
The instrument also features articulation boxes, which are located just below the head of the instrument in three central boxes. In each box, you can select and load a musical articulation. Since there are three boxes available, you can load up to three different joints into a preset “slot.” Furthermore, there is a sensitivity threshold between the three joint boxes. For example, if “Vertical Mode” is set to “Speed” and the key pressure is between 0-80 (as shown in the image), the bottom frame will be played. If the pressure is between 81-109, the middle frame will be played, and if it is between 110-127, the top frame will be played. This provides detailed control over the articulations and musical performance of the “pipe”.
