Kambanite Church Bells fue un proyecto verdaderamente singular y apasionante para nosotros. Su nombre, "Kambanite," que se traduce como "Las campanas," encuentra su origen en un monumento y parque extraordinario ubicado en las afueras de Sofía. Este lugar atesora un legado cultural e histórico excepcional. En el año 1979, las Naciones Unidas proclamaron el "Año Internacional del Niño", y el entonces Ministro de Cultura búlgaro organizó y estableció una Asamblea Internacional conocida como "Bandera de la Paz". Este festival estaba dedicado al arte infantil bajo el lema de "Unidad, Arte y Belleza".

El Monumento "Kambanita" se erigió en 1979 para conmemorar la recién fundada Asamblea Internacional "Bandera de la Paz" y ha sido su símbolo emblemático desde entonces. La estructura en sí se alza a una altura de 37 metros y alberga 7 campanas dispuestas en una esfera hueca, que simbolizan el planeta Tierra y los 7 continentes unidos, representando así un símbolo de paz. El parque circundante al Monumento se diseñó para convertirse en el "hogar" de campanas procedentes de donaciones y obsequios ofrecidos por países y gobiernos de todo el mundo. La mayoría de estas campanas fueron traídas y entregadas por los niños que participaron en la Asamblea, lo que añade un toque adicional de significado y unión a este hermoso lugar.

Kambanite Church Bells were a truly unique and exciting project for us. Its name, "Kambanite," which translates as "The Bells," finds its origin in an extraordinary monument and park located on the outskirts of Sofia. This place treasures an exceptional cultural and historical legacy. In 1979, the United Nations proclaimed the "International Year of the Child", and the then Bulgarian Minister of Culture organized and established an International Assembly known as the "Banner of Peace". This festival was dedicated to children's art under the motto of "Unity, Art and Beauty."

The "Kambanita" Monument was erected in 1979 to commemorate the newly founded International Assembly "Flag of Peace" and has been its emblematic symbol since then. The structure itself stands at a height of 37 meters and houses 7 bells arranged in a hollow sphere, symbolizing the planet Earth and the 7 united continents, thus representing a symbol of peace. The park surrounding the Monument was designed to become the "home" of bells from donations and gifts offered by countries and governments around the world. Most of these bells were brought and given by the children who participated in the Assembly, adding an extra touch of meaning and togetherness to this beautiful place.
