**The Canterbury Suitcase: Excellence in Virtual Electric Pianos**
The Canterbury Suitcase redefines the virtual electric piano experience, taking detail and expression to new heights. It all started in June 2012, during the recording of Grand Marimba at Canterbury Music in Toronto. While exploring vintage instruments, studio owner Jeremy Darby introduced us to his Suitcase 88. At that point, we knew we were looking at one of the best-maintained and best-sounding Suitcases we had ever encountered.
In the summer of 2016, we returned to Canterbury for a test session. With the invaluable collaboration of Adam King and Robbie Grunwald, we captured an authentic, dynamic and incredible sound. Three different signals were recorded: the line output, the speaker cabinet microphone in close proximity, and the natural ambiance of the room.
